Seymour Performers Workshop is showing up for young Aussies & their mental health! 🤙🏼
The cast and crew of Sweeney Todd have signed up to the Gnarly90 challenge to create real change in a Gnarly way
----------------------------------------
13 Pies in 13 weeks (90 days)
We are baking 13 pies over 13 weeks - inspired by our November production, Sweeney Todd. Each pie will have a mental health theme and be prepared by a different member of our cast or crew every week. It will then be auctioned off on Sunday (during Sweeney rehearsals), with proceeds going directly to support positive mental health change. Its a sweet way to bring awareness, community and a little theatrical flavour to an important cause.
Why it matters to us
As a community theatre that works with young people, we know how vital it is to create spaces where they feel safe, seen and supported.
Who it helps
Gnarly Neighbours - whose focus is on prevention and not just band-aid fixes - aligns with SPW's commitment to community, care and mental health wellbeing
Our goal
The aim is for each pie to sell for over $20 with all proceeds going to Gnarly90 to support youth mental health
Want to be part of our action
If you are interested in bidding for a pie each Sunday, follow our Facebook page (Seymour Performers Workshop) for further details. Not a pie lover? No problem, you can still support this cause by donating directly to our fundraising page. Each week we will upload a photo of our Baker with their "themed pie" to SPWs socials using #gnarly90 #sliceofsupport and tag @gnarly.90
